From email April 2008

I started looking for a dog in February but knew I didn't want to pet store shop. I looked at my SPCA but all the dogs were big and due to the size of my house, I needed a small dog. I went online and found petfinder.com and searched for a small dog. As I scrolled through all the pages, I saw Virgil and just knew he was the one for me. I just had a good feeling. I frantically filled out an application and prayed I would get phone call. After the interview process, I got a call from Cindy who told me if I was still interested, Virgil could be mine. I was so ecstatic, I started screaming. I couldn't wait to get Virgil home.

 

Virgil is the best little dog ever. Having grown up with dogs and having other family members with dogs, I know the variety of personalities you can encounter. But right from the beginning, Virgil was the sweetest, cutest and most loving dog. And he is so smart!! He has trained very easily. He loves to be outside and follows me everywhere. His favorite place to be is on my lap. He is friendly to everyone he meets and loves to play with my parent's dog, Tessa (a shih-tzu). He is such a joy in my life. I am so grateful to Cindy and Barb at Freedom Rescue for connecting me with Virgil. I cherish him. THANK YOU!!!
