The following was sent into Petfinder (Thank you Kathy)

Scooter  AKA Imogene who will be 5 years old this May was used as a breeder in an awful puppy mill.  She was pregnant and in the Buckeye Dog auction last April. The great people of Freedom Rescue went in and rescued her.  She was in terrible shape with gouges out of both of her ears, her tail had been bald and part of it was bitten off. She was tattooed in her left ear.  She gave birth to 2 puppies one of which died.  She was unable to care for the other little guy and he bonded with a surrogate "mom" and was able to be adopted at 8 weeks.  Scooter came into my life because of my daughter who works as a Vet assistant in a Rocky River animal hospital.
It just so happened that Scooters "foster Dad" was in with another foster pup and my daughter started talking to him.  She knew I wanted a minature daschund and Scooter needed a home.  She put me in touch with her "foster family" and we met.  This poor beat up little girl with the giant brown eyes won my heart.  Needless to say!
she now has a family (1 85 lb.black lab sister, 1 95lb big brother who is an Australian shepherd, and her new best friend Tinka the cat), a real dog bed and toys.  She is the sweetest little pooch and loves to go for rides in the car and visit the relatives.  Scooter Pie is now able to lead the life she deserves and is loved by all who meet her.

I recently ran into little Scooter and 'mom' at the Avon Lake Animal Swim.  Here are some pictures from that day
