"You were so wonderful bringing Sophie into our lives and we have never
forgotten your efforts to bring her home for us. We thought you might like to
see how our Sophie (Addie) (and Seamus) are doing as they have their 2nd
birthdays and continue to be a joy in our lives.
Thank you so much for thinking of us when Sophie needed a home. I don't
think a day goes by that we don't talk to her about how sweet she is and how
much we love her! She and Seamus couldn't be closer than if they were litter
mates.
Funny note: While Sophie will put up with bows and kerchiefs from Miss
Jenny, she absolutely refuses to wear sweaters and, if she sees one on
Seamus, she insists on pulling it off of him until they both look like
regular dogs again!"

One
day, a few months after we brought home our first Cavalier (Seamus) from a
breeder, I received a phone call from Helen at Greater Chicago Cavalier
Rescue. She had received news that Freedom Rescue had several
Cavalier puppies they were looking to place and she was wondering if we
were interested.
We had already begun considering a second Cavalier both because life with
Seamus was so wonderful and we knew that most Cavaliers were happier with
a companions. The phone call was both a shock and a joy (much like
knowing you are pregnant and then discovering you're having twins!) but we
knew we had the ability to adjust our lives and desperately wanted to
welcome another Cavalier into our home and so we accepted.
We brought our Sophie home on August 19, 2006 and the house has not been
the same since. Not only is Seamus happy, but Sophie has adjusted
very well to life on a king size bed and to all of the comfort and love we
can give her. She and Seamus tear around the yard, running up onto the
deck and back onto the lawn and then behind the shed to roll on their
backs in the soft grass. She adores having her belly rubbed and is quite a
treat hound. She is loving and sweet and just a tiny bit mischievous
which definitely keeps us on our toes. Often, when we are out
walking, people stop to comment on the beauty and friendliness of both
Seamus, who is a Blenheim, and Sophie who is Tri. Everyone seems to
notice that she has the most lovely markings and her face has an
exquisitely sweet expression.
We find it difficult to remember our lives before our
beautiful babies, they both make us proud as pet owners and absolutely
silly as pet parents and sister.
We cannot thank you enough for considering us for adoption. Sophie
is so beautiful and so joyful; she brings such completeness to our lives
and seeing her sweet face every day makes us so happy that she's come into
our home. Thank you to Cindy and everyone at Freedom Rescue who
works so hard to make everyone's wishes come true.
Best wishes,
Lisa, Jack and Jennifer
